Other side of the couch

Updated: Oct 14

What happens when the person who usually listens to others starts to listen within?

In Psyche Knows the Way, Michael charts a journey from the other side of the couch—blending sharp storytelling, piano-driven arrangements, and humor with genuine tools for coping. The evening moves from laughter to lump-in-throat revelations, touching on perfectionism, burnout, boundaries, and the surprising joy of letting go. Designed for intimate rooms and listening audiences, the show invites everyone to recognize themselves—and to leave a little lighter. *

Origin Story

Conceived during the long, reflective nights of the pandemic, Michael began writing songs as a way to process the unspoken weight of his life's path.. then realized he was singing to himself, too. The cabaret was born from that double-meaning: the therapist in therapy, finding courage in melody. Early workshop performances sparked an overwhelming response from audiences hungry for honesty and hope, inspiring this touring version.
